Consumer Relations

To begin this project, I started by putting out a series of questions to people that skate about what designs of decks they are drawn to. The majority of people said they look for bold designs with flashy color and pop culture subject matter. I decided that something food related would open up a lot of possibilities. I researched decks that were related to this idea and I saw a lot of pizza related ones, but no one had made chicken wing decks. I ran with this and started coming up with different ideas.

logo type

While I was still trying to solidify the designs of the skateboard decks, I wanted to get a logo type nailed down. I did type tests to see what fit the idea of the company the best. I ended up choosing Sign Painter for its fluidity and movement.

Final Decks

After figuring out how I wanted the logo, I finished up the designs of the skateboard decks. I split it into two categories: Pattern Boards and Type Boards. The Pattern Boards have a grid of more intricate subject matter and the Type Boards have the logo type on them.

Branding

Once the decks were completed, I moved on to marketing and branding the company further than just the logo. I made tags that would be on the decks that tell a little about the company and I designed a website. I wanted the site to be clean and easy to navigate while also being dynamic.
